Menstruate and Celebrate

Berlin Boudoir and The Vagina Museum invite you to join a Period Celebration Party!

Artist and Activist Monika Kozub, aka Berlin Boudoir, is coming to London for a party like none other! Collaborating with the Vagina Museum, Monika is showcasing her visual video PERIOD which she created to celebrate menstruation while addressing period poverty. Viewing this work as an ongoing dialogue with her audience, Monika initiated the concept of Period Celebration costume parties... yipee!

This inclusive gathering serve as a platform for open conversations about menstruation, blending art and advocacy. Following successful events in Berlin, Monika is now extending the celebration to London, inviting participants to engage in a collective exploration of menstrual pride, awareness, and unity. They will be collecting menstrual hygiene products to donate to those in need, making sure essential products reach those who require them most.

Together, let's kick-start a new tradition of celebrating menstruation with pride, joy, and solidarity

As a visual artist and feminist activist, Monika's work is an exploration of beauty's diverse facets, with a focus on themes including nature and sexuality as sources of empowerment. Through her art, Monika confronts stereotypes surrounding women's lives, aiming to illuminate the strength and freedom that arises from challenging these preconceptions.

Monika's art proudly reflects her feminist identity, celebrating decadence and eroticism as vehicles for societal transformation. In 2022, Monika collaborated with her partner, Daniel S. Roden, to release an art music video titled "PERIOD." This thought-provoking creation takes a tongue-in-cheek approach to celebrate menstruation while addressing period poverty. The film received the Best Music Video award at the Toronto International Women Film Festival and was featured in film festivals globally, including the Aesthetica Short Film Festival and the Video Art and Experimental Film Festival in New York City.
